How to choose a V-belt:
1. Determine the upper width and thickness of the belt first, type A (width 13mm, thickness 8mm), type B (width 17mm, thickness 11mm), type C (width 22mm, thickness 14mm), type D (width 32mm, thickness 19mm), type E (width 38mm, thickness 25mm), type O (width 10mm, thickness 6mm), SPZ type/3V type (width 10mm, thickness 8mm), SPA type (width 12.7mm, thickness 10mm), SPB type/ 5V type (width 16.3mm thickness 13mm), SPC type (width 22mm thickness 18mm), 8V type (width 25mm thickness 23mm)
2. Determine the inner perimeter Li method: measure the length with a thin rope around the path of the belt (that is, the groove of the belt pulley), which is the metric model of the belt (that is, the inner perimeter of the belt).
3. Determine the LA method of outer circumference: use a thin rope without expansion and contraction to close the outer circle of the belt, and then measure the rope to obtain data. Don't use a ruler to measure directly, that would be inaccurate.
4. Determination of the LW method of the pitch line circumference: shear and straighten measurement
There are several elements that should be taken into account when installing the drivetrain:
1. Check the pulleys
Before installing a new set of V-belts, the condition of the sheaves should be checked. The wheel groove should be kept in good condition and there should be no scratches or sharp steps. All dimensions should be up to standard. Dirty or rusty sheaves can reduce drive efficiency and damage belts, leading to premature belt scrap. Worn sheaves can shorten the life of the belt. If the wheel groove is worn to the low point of the belt, it may cause the belt to slip and cause the belt to burn.
2. Check the parallelism of the sheaves
Before installation, the parallelism of the shaft and sheave should be calibrated, and the general parallelism deviation of more than 20' will seriously affect the life of the belt. The non-parallel degree of the sheave will cause uneven wear on the belt, causing the belt to extrude out of the sheave and all the load will be applied to the elongated side of the belt, pulling off the belt line on that side
3. Install the toothed V-belt
When installing the belt, you should first loosen one side of the sheave wheel, adjust to the position that can be easily loaded into the belt, and then tension after easy loading of the belt (the first installation of the belt, the belt should be tightened as much as possible, and it needs to be tensioned once after 24 hours of operation, and it is not necessary to adjust it later) Do not use tools to forcibly pry into the belt or use the pulley to force the belt into the belt, and the forced installation of the belt will damage the strong layer of the belt, so that the belt can not be used normally. Tension the belt while calibrating the parallelism of the shaft and pulley.
4. Maintenance
As a consumable product, in order to achieve a good use effect, a new set of belts should be used to match the equipment, and it is recommended to regularly check the groove wheel of the equipment, the parallelism of the groove wheel and whether the V-belt is elongated, abnormal heat accumulation or wear. If necessary, they should be replaced, and do not mix old and new belts in the same set.
